✨ Availability Filters & Request Creation from Samples Manager

You can now filter your Samples inventory by real-time availability status and date window, and create Requests directly from Samples Manager — without switching to the Request module. These two additions make it faster to go from "finding a sample" to "booking it," whether you're preparing a send out, a press loan, or an event.

🎯 Why This Matters

Until now, finding available samples for a specific date window required manual cross-checking between Samples Manager and the request/loan history. The only status filter available was a binary "Marked On Loan / Not On Loan" toggle, which gave no visibility into reservations, pending deliveries, or specific date windows. Creating a Request also required leaving Samples Manager entirely and navigating to the Request module.

These two workflows are now connected: filter for available samples in a date window, and request them on the spot.

✅ What's New

  • Availability Status Filter — replaces the old On Loan toggle with four precise states: Available, Reserved/Pending, On Loan, and On Loan & Reserved/Pending.
  • Availability Date Range — check availability against a specific time window, with a Flexible availability checkbox to control whether samples must be free for the full period or just partially overlap with it.
  • Availability Flags — visual indicators on samples with mixed availability within your selected window. Hover to see the exact date segments when each sample is free.
  • Create Request from Samples Manager — select samples, click Queue → Request Samples, and the Request form opens pre-filled with your samples and department. Or use the row-level Request Sample option for a single item.

📌 This release covers requesting samples within your own departments. Cross-department requesting is coming in a future release.
