✨ Location Lifecycle Management

To better manage and archive sample locations, we’ve extended the existing Export for Update / Import workflow with lifecycle control.

A new optional column, “Lifecycle Status”, is now included by default in location exports for update, allowing you to archive or unarchive existing locations directly from Excel.

  • Accepted values are live and archived
  • Invalid or empty values are ignored and reported during import, and if the column is removed entirely, no lifecycle changes are applied.
  • Newly imported locations remain live by default.

This removes the need for manual, one-by-one updates in the Locations editor, making large-scale clean-up and maintenance of location lists faster, safer, and fully auditable, especially for teams managing high volumes of samples across multiple seasons.

✅ Editable delivery document export (HTML / Excel)

To support advanced editing needs on delivery documents, we’re introducing an optional Editable File (HTML) export in the new (non-legacy) delivery documents view. When enabled, this export allows you to retrieve the full document in an Excel-editable format, similar to what was previously available in the legacy experience.

This gives you full control to enrich, adapt, or finalize delivery documents outside Launchmetrics. For example, editing the list of samples for a partial return document.

Note

Because this level of flexibility can affect document consistency, the feature is gated behind a feature flag and must be explicitly activated by Customer Success on request. By default, standard exports remain unchanged, ensuring safe and predictable behavior for all users.
