What's new?
To enhance coverage tracking during major Fashion Weeks, we have introduced new events to the list in the event filter. This update allows users to access insights specifically related to Fashion Weeks by season and year. Users can now distinguish between two types of events - Standard and Seasonal.
1. Standard Events (existing)
- Data gets continuously collected throughout the year
- Coverage includes Print, Online, and Social
- Broad tracking without specific brand names, keywords, or year-based filtering
- Provides a general overview of Fashion Week coverage
Examples:
- New York Fashion Week (NYFW)
- Paris Fashion Week (PFW)
- Milan Fashion Week (MFW)
2. Seasonal Events (new)
- Data collected only for the event duration (2 days before, 7 days after)
- Linked to a specific Fashion Week season
- Coverage is restricted to Online and Social (Print is not included)
-
Uses highly refined queries focus on:
- Specific brands participating in the event, “on schedule” brands
- Relevant keywords related to the theme
- Defined by season and year (e.g., Fall/Winter 2025, Sprint/Summer 2026)
Examples:
- Paris Fashion Week Menswear Fall/Winter 2025
- New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025 (screenshot below)
- London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025
- Milan Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025
- Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2025
These Seasonal Events are used by the Launchmetrics Marketing team and Brand Insights team for all their FW reports.
How to Differentiate the Two?
Visually
- Naming conventions: Standard events have a simple name (e.g., “Paris Fashion Week”), while new events include season and year (e.g., “Paris Fashion Week Menswear Fall/Winter 2025”).
Technically
- Standard Events: Always updated, broad query structure, covering Print, Online, and Social.
- Seasonal Events: Updated only during a specific period, using complex queries for Online and Social only, with brand and event-specific filtering. Please note that these events do not cover Print.
