✨ What's new?

Six new data points are now available in Discover! They can be used as filters in Discover feeds and dashboards, and as grouping options in Advanced Excel.

Advanced Enrichments

Gender, Universe, Corporate, and Mentioned Voices are advanced enrichments and are for now included free of charge for Print, across your entire account.

The same enrichments, as well as other enrichments can also be made available for Social and Online.

What are Advanced Enrichments?

Until now you could see that your brand was covered, but not what the coverage was about. Getting closer meant building and maintaining keyword lists and custom tags, market by market and language by language, and the results were never comparable to your competitors'.

With the advanced enrichments, the same standardized dimensions are applied to every brand mention, on every channel, with nothing to maintain on your side.

Read all about the Advanced Enrichments in this article.

If you're interested in getting them for other channels, reach out to your Customer Success contact to discuss your needs in more detail.

Classic Datapoints

Sponsored (Social) and Communication Type (Print) are basic data points included for everyone. They are now live in the application and available as both filters and grouping options. No additional setup is required.

Let's dive into each new datapoint!

All the datapoints now available as grouping options in the Advanced Excel and filter options across Discover (as shown in images above)

Advanced Enrichments (Print only)

Overview

Data point

Channel

Available as

Definition

Gender

Print

Filter + Group

Identifies the intended audience for the product mentioned. Values: Men, Women, Unisex, Kids.

Universe

Print

Filter + Group

Describes the lifestyle context the product belongs to, not the product type — e.g., Ready-to-Wear, Sportswear, Bridal.

Corporate

Print

Filter + Group

A Yes/No flag separating corporate news from brand/product coverage — e.g., financial results, store openings, sustainability announcements.

Mentioned Voices

Print

Filter + Group

Flags when a brand mention is explicitly linked to a specific Voice — a celebrity or influencer on Launchmetrics' official list.

As of today, these four enrichments are included for print free of cost. The same set and additional advanced enrichments not yet on the platform can also be made available for social and online. Reach out to your customer success manager to learn more!

Each of the advanced enrichments can be filtered on or grouped by in Advanced Excel and across Discover (as shown in the images below)

Gender (Print)

Identifies the intended audience for the product mentioned.

  • Values: Men, Women, Unisex, Kids.
  • Example : Group a report by Gender to compare MIV share between your Men's and Women's lines over the season, or filter a dashboard to Kids only when reporting to a category specific stakeholder.

Universe (Print)

This datapoint describes the visual/editorial context of the specific brand mention e.g., whether it appears within an article, as a fashion credit inside a beauty column, or alongside a photo of the product

  • Values: Costume Jewelry, Fine Jewelry, Sportswear etc.
  • Example : Group by Universe to see how much of your MIV comes from Haute Couture versus Ready-to-Wear coverage or filter on Maternity to view coverage only related to that universe

Corporate (Print)

This datapoint describes the visual/editorial context of the specific brand mention e.g., whether it appears within an article, as a fashion credit inside a beauty column, or alongside a photo of the product

  • Values: Yes/No
  • Example : Filter Corporate = No before building a product-performance report, so a wave of financial-results or governance coverage doesn't skew your product coverage numbers. Or flip it to Corporate = Yes to isolate and report on institutional news volume separately.

Mentioned Voices (Print)

Detects celebrities and influencers explicitly mentioned in association with a brand, based on our official monitored Voices list. This powers brand-level Voice reporting and supports features like Voice Echo, helping you understand how specific personalities contribute
to your visibility and impact.

  • Values: Celebrities and influencers from the official monitored list (e.g. Rihanna).
  • Example: Build a pivot table grouped by Mentioned Voices to rank which celebrities generated the most MIV for your brand last quarter

Classic Data Points (Print & Social)

Data point

Channel

Available as

Definition

Sponsored

Social

Filter + Group

It flags whether a post is sponsored, meaning a creator disclosed compensation (paid partnership, gifted, promoted/boosted, or #ad/#sponsored-style disclosures). This helps separate organic vs commercial activity to better evaluate creator authenticity and performance.

Communication Type

Print

Filter + Group

It is a type of brand communication identified on the print placement. It describes the visual/editorial context of the specific brand mention e.g., whether it appears within an article, as a fashion credit inside a beauty column, or alongside a photo of the product.

Included for everyone. No setup needed, you can use them as filters or grouping options to break down your data meaningfully.
